Oil Recipe : Fruit Infused Water

I love any way I can make my water tastier and using essential oils, herbs, and fruits and vegetables are one of my favorite ways! It not only makes you drink more water, but it’s a fun way to get in bonus nutrients and to try new flavors and Young Living’s line of Vitality Dietary Essential Oils makes this so easy to do! -Lauren Dunaway

RECIPE

  • Put a few drops of Vitality essential oils onto chilled produce

  • Place the produce into a glass pitcher

  • Fill the picture with water

  • Shake or stir before serving!

TIPS & TRICKS

  • Use glass containers/pitchers and stainless-steel spoons to stir. Canning jars or clear water pitchers are great!

  • You can make ice cubes with mint leaves and essentials oils and then add the cubes to the water. Use a small spray bottle to mist the herbs with essential oils before freezing

  • Follow the “less is more” rule! One drop of oil is plenty for a quart to a half-gallon of water

  • Adding a Vitality oil to the same produce can boost its flavor and aroma-think adding Lime Vitality to lime slices

  • Add herbs such as elderberries or hibiscus to your water for natural coloring

FLAVOR COMBINATIONS

  • Lemon/Cucumber: Add 1 drop Lemon Vitality to the slices of one lemon, add ½ sliced cucumber and add 1 drop of Spearmint Vitality to spearmint leaves

  • Orange/Cucumber: Add 1 drop Citrus Fresh Vitality to the slices of one orange, add ½ sliced cucumber

  • Lemon/Basil/Peppermint: Add 1 drop Peppermint Vitality to the slices of one lemon, add a handful of washed basil leaves.

  • Tangerine/Wolfberry Fizz: Add 1 drop Tangerine Vitality to slices of one tangerine, add a handful of Ningxia wolfberries and top with sparkling water

Most of these recipes are for still water, but you could easily make them fancy and use sparkling water too! These infused waters can also make a great replacement for juices and sports-drinks this summer as things heat up!
