Spring Cleaning Prep

 

I love this from Eryn Jones, "March is a month where we focus on spring cleaning, purging, giving stuff away, and nesting to make room for more of what we care about and love. We even turn our clocks back to let go of evening darkness and let in more light!

Here are some tips that you can use for each room in your house and when you finish, your house will smell so clean and fresh! -Katie Weber

KITCHEN

  • **Fridge freshener: **Sprinkle 2-3 drops of Lime oil into a box of baking soda to keep your fridge smelling fresh!

  • **Garbage disposal reset: **Check out this blog post from for a DIY garbage disposal freshener.

  • **Countertops to floors: **We love Thieves® Household Cleaner for everything from countertops, floors, stovetop and fridge shelves. This cleaner is so versatile!

BATHROOM

  • Air freshener: Put a few drops of your favorite oil like Citrus Fresh and Pine on the inside of your toilet paper roll.

  • **Glass/window spray: **Grab a reusable spray bottle for this DIY for windows and mirrors: 3 cups distilled water, 1/4 cup rubbing alcohol, 1/4 cup white vinegar, 20 drops Peppermint oil. Spray on mirrors, windows, or stainless steel. Wipe clean with a paper towel/microfiber towel.

  • **Shower- and toilet-cleaning fizzies: **Here's a great recipe to make in advance and then drop in the toilet to prep for cleaning.

BEDROOMS

  • **Lavender linen spray: **Use this DIY spray on sheets, pillowcases, duvets and mattresses to freshen up the room. Add 1/4 cup distilled water, 3 tablespoons rubbing alcohol, 20 drops Lavender oil, 10 drops Peppermint oil. Add to small spritzer bottle and shake to combine.

  • **Air vents: **Sprinkle a few drops of oil onto cotton balls, then add these to your air vents throughout your house.
